Jessica Christine Musgrove

Author. Singer. Storyteller.

Hi! I’m glad you’re here. I’m a writer of YA Christian fantasy that point readers to the Hope & Joy found in Christ alone. Because of His love, we have the ability to choose faith over fear.

“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.”
– I Thessalonians 5:24

“You have never met a mere mortal.”

-C.S. Lewis

Meet Jessica

Hi there! I am saved by grace through faith in Christ alone and love glorifying God through creativity! I am a choir & praise team member and a 4th & 5th grade girls Sunday school leader at my church. I am happily married to Wesley Musgrove since June 9, 2023, and am a bonus mom to the three most precious kids: Sparrow, Blossom, and Woodland.

I love equipping others for the work of ministry as the Music Administrator at First Baptist Fort Smith. I’m currently indie publishing The Ezra City Chronicles: Evergreen and the Silver Tree through KDP!

Talking Sparrow Creations is more than a logo, it is a ministry that encompasses my mission as a storyteller & encourager: To spread the hope found in Christ alone. God provides for the sparrows. He cares about us even more! And that’s just what my stories convey…That Jesus is more than enough. His grace is sufficient. Always.

These are a few of my favorite things

I’m a coffee addict.

I love candles and go through them quickly.

My favorite movie is Crocodile Dundee.

I love rainy weather.

Most of the time, I enjoy life as a homebody, complete with my dogs (Biscuit & Maple) and my cats (Paris & Taffy).

The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom is one of my favorite books.

So is any book by Nadine Brandes.

I graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a BFA in Musical Theatre.

Popcorn is literally my favorite food.

I played Belle in Beauty & the Beast in 2019…Dream role!!!

Life is an adventure!

In high school, I was nicknamed the “Star-Spangled Girl” because I sang the “National Anthem” so many times.

I have played a fairy onstage twice. The first time, I was Peaseblossom in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”; the second time I was a fairy in the most wonderful student-directed play called “Second Star to the Right: A Cirque Experience”.

I learned how to ride a bike in 2023.

And with that, I can say with confidence, “To LIVE is an awfully big adventure.”

Follow my journey…
